Robert T. "Bob" "Barney" Barnhill

Formerly of Mulliken

Age 87, died July 2, 2014.  Bob was born January 12, 1927  and raised in Rocky Point, North Carolina, one of twelve children born to Robert P. and Beadie M. (Wilson) Barnhill.  He served in the Navy during World War II, then came to Michigan, working on the construction of M-43 and M-50, during which time he met his future bride, Vaneitta Mae Cramer.  Later Bob was employed by Oldsmobile and was the first man trained to install air conditioners in their automobiles.  He was a life member and Past Master of Mulliken F. & A. M. #412 and a member and Past Worthy Patron of Mulliken O.E.S. #161.  Bob was preceded in death by his wife and three grandsons, Mikie Goodemoot, Robert Barnhill, III and Brian Barnhill.  Surviving are his daughter, Beth (David) Booher of Belleville; two sons, Tom (Teena) Barnhill of Brooklyn and David (Sandra) Barnhill of Lansing; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Masonic services 2 P.M. Monday at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken, under the auspices of Mulliken F. & A. M. #412. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon till 2 P.M. Monday.
