Clarence "Casey" Wahoski Obituary
Clarence "Casey" Wahoski Lansing Age 81, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011. Casey was born on May 26, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary (Snauko) Wahoski; children, Stephen (Joyce), Michael, David (Kristi) and Julie (Curt) Flammini; grandchildren Alex, Nicholas, Claudia, Casey, Carly, Joseph, Andrew, and Matthew; and sister, Anna Mae Bokshan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Anna Wahoski; sister, Henrietta; and brothers, Alex, Stanley, and Ernest. Casey lived a life of service to his family, church, community and country as a member of the US Air Force. As a charter member of St. Gerard Parish, he served for many years as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, as a Eucharistic Minister in church and for the homebound, and for the last seven years, he coordinated the volunteer funeral servers for the parish. He enjoyed landscaping, gardening, woodworking, cooking and baking. He worked at Diamond Reo, and later retired from Leaseway Transport. The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Gerard Catholic Church on Thursday, March 31 at 10:30 a.m. with Celebrants Rev. Fr. Pieter van Rooyen and Rev. Fr. Douglas Osborn. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m at Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Delta Chapel with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues Thursday at the church at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the St. Gerard Parish St. Vincent de Paul Society.
