Mary Louise Hempsted Perry Mary Louise Hempsted, age 73 of Perry, passed away on Tuesday October 30, 2012 at Hospice of Lansing-Stoneleigh. Funeral services will be held at the Perry Baptist Church on Friday November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Desmond Bell and Scott Dunford officiating. Graveside services will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Perry. The family will receive friends at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Perry on Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Mary was born on February 12, 1939 the daughter of Earl and Ellen (Tressell) Kever and was raised in Perry, MI. She graduated from Perry High School in 1956 and worked at Michigan State University for 35 years. She was a member of Perry Baptist Church and also attended the United Methodist Church in Perry. Mary is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert Hempsted, sons Greg (Monica) Edington, Chris (Nikki) Edington and daughter Lori (Charlie) Heminger, stepdaughter Marsha (Paul) Buscher and stepson Mark (Elena) Hempsted. Also brother Robert (Dorothy) Kever and sisters Shirley (Clayton) Church, Ethel (Harold) Cole, and Janet (Harold) Carpenter, 16 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Rose Charlton-Borror. Memorials are suggested to Stoneleigh Residence at 3411 Stoneleigh Dr., Lansing, MI 48910.
