Richard "Doug" Clemmer Harrisburg, PA Richard Douglas Clemmer, 83, died on Friday, November 2, 2012, surrounded by his loving family and caregivers. He was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, and graduated from Eastern High School and Michigan State University. He remained an avid fan of his Alma Mater. He was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. An active member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral for 38 years, he served on the Vestry and as a Lay Eucharistic Minister for many years. He was a 50 year Mason, and member of Perseverance Lodge #21 F.& A. M., and Past Patron of Astro Chapter #380 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Richard is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Byrdie Clemmer and his sister Bette Clemmer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Judith Clemmer, 4 children: Jennifer; Jessica; Derrick and his fiancé, Amy Esh; and Daniel; all of Harrisburg; 4 grandchildren; Tyler, Madelyn and Aidan Clemmer and Trevor Adams; and 2 nieces; Debra Johns of Lansing, MI and Betsy Rumley of Wyandotte, MI. A celebration of Doug's life will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Stephen's, 221 N.
