Ella (Ellie) Marie Lautzenheiser Ella (Ellie) Marie Lautzenheiser, age 85, passed away April 1, 2013 at Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte, Michigan. Ella was born January 17, 1928. She married Carl Lautzenheiser on September 1, 1951 and they were happily married for sixty-one years. Ella was a linotype operator in Chicago, a legal secretary in Lansing's City Hall for the prosecutor's office, a court recorder for the 55th District Court in Mason, and then worked for the Michigan Court of Appeals. After retirement, Ella and Carl volunteered as bailiffs in Eagle River, WI, before returning to Mason in 2003. Ella enjoyed travelling, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends. Ella is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Carl L. Lautzenheiser. Also surviving are her four sons of whom she was so proud, Greg (Carolyn), Jeff (Marilyn), Ted (Pam), Karl (Jo); seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Many loving relatives and friends will miss Ella's cheerful and caring disposition. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. at the Mason First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Ash, Mason, Michigan with the Rev. Jeanne M. Randels, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Ball Dunn Chapel in Mason. The family would like to thank the staff at Ingham County Medical Care Facility for their care of Ella during the past two-and-a-half years, the staff at Eaton Community Palliative Care, and her caring doctors, Dr. Dennis Perry and Dr. John Goodreau.
