Dear Hannay Family,
I am so sorry that you have to go through this right now. Mike and I were great friends for years and I still thought about him often in more recent times. I always sort of thought that we would one day reunite and hang out every day so care free like we used to do. I want you all to know that I loved Mike like so many other people that had the opportunity to walk the sleepy streets of Mason or think they were going to pee their pants and die of laughter with him. This is for your family, but it's also for Mike and I want say some things to him personally so here it goes.
Dear Mike/ oh wuzzzzuuuhhh,
I'm so sorry that we didn't get more time to chill the past few years. I hope you know how much of an impact you had on my life. Do you remember the fat kid with no friends that you saw something in? I thought you were the coolest person I had ever met in Middle School and I knew I wanted to be your friend right away. Fast forward 4 years later and I considered you my best friend. I still have the first piece of recording gear that you me and Trevor bought. It was YOUR idea, and you will never know how much of an impact your idea of a hobby had on me. I love you man. Our small group of friends will honor you today as one of our greatest friends but more importantly, you will always be remembered as our eternal brother.

Hannay Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you go through the most difficult time. Mike had that special way of lighting up the room when he came in. His humor and personality were loved by everyone he came in contact with. I will never forget seeing him cruise around town in the coolest yellow truck. Mike will never be forgotten and everyone will always hold a special place in their heart for Mike. Mike is now in the best place; paradise. Love you all so much.

Mike, I love you and will truly miss you. I'm sorry I haven't been the best cousin and wasn't around the last few years. I will hold all of our childhood memories in a special place in my heart. I had to come here and see this to accept that its true and it just makes it that much more difficult. Family really is everything.
