Alice Hagerman Obituary

Alice Hagerman

Lansing

Alice L. Hagerman, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2016.  She was born January 30, 1921 in Lansing, Michigan to James and Clara (Vaillancourt) Chapin, and was married to her beloved husband Russell Hagerman in 1952.  As an active military wife, Alice attended many conferences, conventions, and military balls.  Alice and Russell loved to travel, and his service allowed them to see much of the world.  After his retirement, they spent 28 wonderful winters in Bradenton, Florida. Alice was an avid golfer and knew the game inside and out.  She also enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre.  Above all, Alice was a wonderful, loving grandma to all who loved a busy, noisy, and happy house.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Russell Hagerman.

She will be lovingly remembered by her stepson, David (Charlotte) Hagerman; her nine grandchildren; her 23 great-grandchildren; her 9 great-great-grandchildren; and many close friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at Faith Church, 2300 Lake Lansing Rd., Lansing, Michigan.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing.

For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Church or to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS  66675.

I will miss my very special grandma. A true lady she was! I am glad she is able to join Grandpa now, whom she has truly missed. A quote from her: " I may be old, but I sure had alot of fun getting here!" What a life you have had Grandma Hagerman! I love you so.
