I'm sorry to hear of L. Peter Clark's untimely demise. His Mother and my Mom were first cousins. He would be my second cousin. My love to the Clark family.

To the Clark family, I was very sad to learn from my son Nick, that Pete had passed away. My heart goes out to all and may God give you all the strength and courage to endure the days, weeks and years ahead of you. I bought some land in Wacousta from Pete back in the 70's to build a home and once we lived there he would always stop in the field he was working behind our home if he saw the kids playing in the yard and offer them a ride on his tractor or combine, what a wonderful thing to do for our kids, they were thrilled. Pete always worked hard and played harder. Pete was always a kind and caring man and I considered him a friend and may God hold him in his hands and provide him the grace and dignity he deserves.

I have only had the pleasure of knowing Pete for a few years, and they have all been GREAT- both on a professional and personal level. Pete was always a hard working, ethical and honest person to do business with, which I will always admire about him. He valued his family, and also took the time every year to be sure that my son's had land to hunt giving me family time with them and I have always appreciated that. Pete was certainly one of a kind, and I am glad to have had the pleasure of knowing him. Clark family, please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Clark family,
I was so sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I was Pete's roommate at Aquinas College and unfortunately, over time we lost touch with one another but for me he always remained and will remain a great, close friend. I enjoyed his good nature and how passionate he was about many things especially ,at the time, sports. As Aquinas had no football team it had a very competitive flag football league, remember I said FLAG football. We were an all freshmen team and our very first game we played an upper class team. We kicked off to them and Pete proceeded to tackle the ball carrier, severely, and then stood over him screaming, "Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa", swinging his arms like a boxer. Of course, he drew a penalty flag. We won the game and many more. Needless to say the other teams in the league did not look forward to playing us. I'll never forget that and many more enjoyable times with Pete. I will miss him.

Thanks for the Memories
Our hearts go out with sincere sympathy to the entire Clark Family. Words cannot express how shocked and saddened our whole family was to hear of Pete's passing. Pete was a very generous, thoughtful and kind person, not only to our family but to the entire community. Pete's generosity, and that of Clark Farms, has allowed so many people to enjoy life and create their own memories. I can't imagine how many children and adults over the years that were able to enjoy sports in the Grand Ledge area due, in part, to Pete's willingness to donate countless resources. And the same goes for his involvement in Eagle Days. Those donations led to many happy hours and days for people he didn't even know to make their own memories with family and friends.
Looking back at the past I never truly understood the value of the gift that Pete gave me every year. Pete always made sure that I had a place to hunt with my son Bobby. It is those years of memories that I am truly grateful for. Pete you will forever be the third person in our hunting party. And one day, in another time and heavenly place when we meet again, I will be sure to say Thanks for the Memories!
Our thoughts & Prayers are with the Clark Family,

So saddened to hear of the passing of Pete. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend - always there to help no matter what the problem - and such an active and vibrant person in the Wacousta/Grand Ledge/Eagle community. His beautiful and warm smile will be greatly missed.

You were an inspiration to anyone that knew you. You were a role model and a guy we all aspired to be like. You were the most generous guy I have ever known - never asking for anything in return. You treated everyone like they were something special and made everyone feel a little better about themselves. You were funny and always had a funny story to tell that made the day a little brighter. You were thoughtful, considerate and polite and lived your life by the golden rule. You were tough and stood up for people and things you believed in and didn't back down. You were an extremely hard worker and lead by example - an example that lives on in your family and Clark Farms. You were creative and encouraged unique solutions to difficult problems. You were the first person to call when things would go bad and seemed to know exactly what to say to make things seem "not so bad after all". You were also the first guy to show up with a beer when things went right. You celebrated other people's accomplishments with great enthusiasm and treated your own incredible accomplishments as it they were "no big deal". You would help anyone, often times making their problems your problem - and then you would fix it. You were a great neighbor, community leader and family man. You were a great Businessman and Entrepreneur. You were and are the face of Eagle and made Eagle a place we are proud to call home.
You were bigger than life.

I'm so sorry to hear of Pete's death. My heart goes out to all his family. I have so many cherished stories/memories of the "adventures" we shared, whether it was chasing a certain truck, or farm equipment. His big heart, and patience with others was always appreciated.

What can't you say about Pete that isn't a good thing. He was a true friend. Pete helped me decide to not wait to get engaged to Robin, so i left his place and went and bought a ring and that night we were engaged. When i was in the hospital Robin stopped to fill him in on my condition and he said anything you need just ask. That was Pete a GREAT MAN ! To the family all are prayers go out to you.
