Felicitas Leyva SLATON- Rosary for Felicitas Leyva, 65, of Slaton will be today at 7 p.m. in Calvillo Funeral Home's Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Monday November 12, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton with Father Chako officiating. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel. Felicitas passed away on Friday November 9, 2012 in Lubbock. She was born on January 1, 1947 in Edinburg, Texas to the late Carlos and Dolores Garza. She married Humberto Veto Leyva on November 23, 1968 in Olton, Texas. She was a Housewife and a Catholic. She moved to Slaton on April 12, 1973 from Lubbock. She was preceded in death by a son, Zamar Leyva in 1974. Survivors include her husband, Veto Leyva of Slaton; three sons, Xavier Leyva of Woodrow, Christian Leyva and Dorian Leyva both of Slaton; a daughter, Dolores Portillo of Woodrow; three brothers, Pedro Garza of Slaton, Felix Garza of Pharr, Texas, and Miguel Garza of Mission, Texas; four sisters, Carolina Amaya of Olton, Eusebia Castro of Pharr, Texas, Margarita Garza of San Antonio, and Elvira Garza of San Juan, Texas; five grandchildren.
