Betty Turner

Betty June Turner LUBBOCK- Betty June (Huth) Turner, 85, of Lubbock passed away on November 10th, 2012. Visitation will be held today, November 12th, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Betty was born in Tamaroe, Ill. on July 8th, 1927 to Edward C. Huth and Mae Junie Huth. She moved to Bakersfield, Calif. in 1935. Betty met A.L. Turner, Jr. while he was stationed at Minter Army Air Field and married on October 28th, 1945. Betty is survived by her two daughters, Pat Puryear Bailey of Earth, Texas and Judy Williams of Windsor, Colo.; her brother, Don Huth of Bakersfield, Calif.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Betty was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 55 years and was a member of the choir for 40 years. She worked at Hemphill-Wells and Dillards until her retirement in 1997. She volunteered for RSVP for many years after her retirement. Betty was a gifted artisan and enriched the lives of her family and friends with her god given talents.
