Bo Li

Bo Li LUBBOCK- Family and friends of Bo Li will gather to celebrate her life of 85 years at 8 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, 6028 82nd Street. She passed from this life on Sunday, December 23, 2012. A tribute of Mrs. Li may be found at, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for her family. Bo Li was born on August 18, 1927 in Pingyao, Shanxi Province, China to Yu-Ang Li. She was raised in China in Yan'An, a small town where the communist party setup base at the end of the long march. She attended the elementary school and high school of Yan'An, and Yen'An natural science and technology institute. At a young age she followed her father by joining the Communist Party of China. Her father was a pioneer of the Communist Party. Bo married Si-Cong Liu in China and he preceded her in death in 1996. She moved to the United States following her retirement from the Government of China. Bo was an administrator for the Chinese Government since 1944. While living with her daughter and son-in-law in the US, she enjoyed a good life in the United States, kept herself busy with gardening, Chinese culinary, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese paintings, traveling, playing cards with her friends here. She enjoyed watching Chinese CCTV channels offered by Dish network. She loved her home country of China and faithfully served her country. Survivors include her children, Sha Liu and Yan-Ling Liu both of China, and Lixin Liu and husband, Michael Xiaoguang Jin of Lubbock; grandchildren, Wei Wei Cheng and wife Julie Ho Cheng, Xin Liu, and Chun-Yang Liu; her siblings, Cheng Li, Ji Li, Xiao-Qing Li, Wu-Ling Li. She is also survived by her faithful Pomeranian, Xiao Go Go. She was preceded in death by her sibling, Ning-Li.
