Frances Marie Lewis Graveside services for Frances Marie Lewis will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 213 followed by a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Post. Marie passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013. She was born April 2, 1926 in Quanah, Texas to James B. and Eula Mae (Butler) Baxter. She grew up in Quanah and Chillicothe, where she met and married her husband of 70 years, Tommie J. Lewis. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2011. Marie is survived by her daughter, Doris Giddens and her husband Joe of Post; son, Tom Lewis and his wife Lena of Arlington; six grandchildren, Danna Mantooth and husband Rick of San Angelo, Holly Brake and husband Shelby of Lubbock, Wade Giddens and wife Bonnie of San Antonio, Scott Lewis and wife Leslie of McKinney, Carrie Ellerbe and husband Malcolm of Gaylord, Calif., and Dustin Lewis and wife Laura of Arlington; 11 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Calhoun and husband Levi of San Angelo, Clayton and Evan Brake of Lubbock, Calvin, Ben and Matthew Giddens of San Antonio, Bryce Morgan of Arlington, Justin and Natalie Lewis of McKinney, and Nicole and Jenna Lewis of Arlington; as well as two brothers, Bill Baxter of Kerrville and James B. Baxter of Honey Grove. Along with her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Post or to the Garza County Senior Citizens Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home of Post.
