Harold Mayfield

Harold Dwayne Mayfield LUBBOCK- Harold Dwayne Mayfield, 72, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February, 2 2013. Dwayne was born in Plainview, Texas on December, 31 1940. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was a Staff Sergeant in the 173rd Airborne Division. He was decorated with the Bronze Star for his honorable service. He was a commercial carpenter who was a very hard worker, and traveled to various areas of the country. He is survived by a brother, Larry Mayfield, his wife, Ester, and their children, Robin and David. Dwayne also had one daughter, Carol Lea Mayfield-Morris and four grandchildren, Cierra Jane, Chelsea Grae, Moriah Nelle and Eric Allan, who all will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Sunday February 3, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Monday February, 4 2013 at 2 p.m. in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the VFW or Wounded Warrior Project.
