Dr. Isham Wade Doc Collier Jr. CROSBYTON-Services for Dr. Isham Wade Doc Collier, Jr., 91, of Crosbyton, Texas, loving husband, dad, granddad and great-granddad, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Crosbyton Church of Christ with Terry Ellison officiating the service, along with grandson Danny Ellison and William Eudy directing the singing service. Burial will follow in Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. Dr. Collier went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013. He was a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Owensboro, Ky., for 34 years, and a current member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ for 27 years. He was born on June 6, 1921, in Crosbyton, Texas, to the late Isham Wade Sr. and Sarah Irene (Ragle) Collier. He served in the U.S. Navy
aboard the USS Ulysses. On June 28, 1952, he married Jeanette Basham of Ownesboro, Ky. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jeanette, known to most as Jan, in October 2005; a son, Jerry Collier, in February of 2006; a daughter, Carla Bellwood, in March of 2006; and a sister, Rubye Nickson, in February of 2008. Survivors include a daughter, Belinda Ellison and her husband Brooks of Crosbyton, Texas; a daughter, Paula Potts and her husband Craig of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Pauline Davies of Phoenix, Ariz., 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today, Feb. 21, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to White River Youth Camp, P.O.
