Jimmie Kinard

Jimmie Kinard LUBBOCK- Jimmie Kinard, of Lubbock, born in Lone Oak, Texas on Oct. 13, 1919, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the age of 93. Graveside service will be held at the City of Lubbock Cemetery on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 10 a.m. She married Paul Kinard in 1943 and worked at the Lubbock Army Air Force Base during WWII. She helped open the Lubbock Veteran's Administration after WWII ended. In Clovis, N.M., she owned and operated the Clovis Employment Agency for 14 years. She served as President of the International Pilot Club of Clovis. Upon retirement, Jimmie returned to live in Lubbock in 1984. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church both worshiping and serving her Lord. Survivors include a daughter, Paulette Clinton (James); a son, Rick Kinard (MJ); two grandchildren, Angie Neill and Lisa Bruster (Travis), all of Lubbock; one great-grandchild, Justin Clintonneill of Seven Palms, Calif.; sister, Dorothy Young, Midland, Texas; and brothers, L. D. Payne of Ft. Worth and Bobby Payne of Bedford, Texas. Visitation will be this evening, July 15, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be sent to Odyssey Hospice, Lubbock.
