Parri Sypersma

Parri Sypersma DRIPPING SPRINGS-Parri Sypersma, 44, of Dripping Springs, Texas, died Sunday, April 21, 2013, in Austin, Texas, after a three-year battle with breast cancer. A memorial reception is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Dripping Springs. Burial will be at a later date beside her father in Calvary Cemetery in Sioux City. Parri was born Feb. 11, 1969, on the family farm outside Sioux City. She attended Lawton-Bronson (Iowa) School and Immaculate Conception (Iowa) School. The family moved to Levelland, Texas in 1982, and Parri graduated from Levelland High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts from University of Texas San Antonio. She was later certified by Accredited Texas Energy Management. Parri was married to Darrel Solanik from 1994 to 2005, and lived in New Braunfels, Texas. She later moved to Dripping Springs. Parri traveled Texas as a program consultant for Clearesult Consulting from 2008 to 2012. She worked for Four Seasons Air Conditioning from 1993 to 2000. She was a ranch manager from 2001 to 2006. She owned Mookie and Mollies with her sister Pam from 2003 to 2005, and worked with her friends at Cowgirls and Lace from 2005 to 2008. Parri was a member of the New Braunfels Art League. She was an award-winning watercolor painter and loved gardening, her pets and collecting vintage treasures. Survivors include her mother, Charlotte (McInerney) Jacobsma; brothers, Paul and Patrick; sisters, Pamela and Patricia; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Sypersma; and her stepfather, James Jacobsma.
