Robert Clark LUBBOCK- A celebration of life for Robert Bob Clark, 88, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, at First Baptist Church with the Reverend John Ballard officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Sanders Funeral Home. Bob went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 15, 2013. Bob was born Dec. 7, 1924, in Portia, Ark., to William Walton and Bertha Louise Clark. He graduated from Ysleta High School in El Paso. Bob was in the U.S. Army during World War II serving in the European Theater. He married Willeen Anderson on Dec. 22, 1946, in Lubbock, Texas. Bob was a cofounder of Brandon and Clark, Inc. with his stepfather, Basil Brandon, and brother, Bill Clark, in 1950. He was a member of First Baptist Church, the Downtown Bible Class, the Lubbock Masonic Lodge and a charter member of Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Willeen, on Jan. 10, 1995; infant son, John Randall; and brothers, Bill and Fayne Clark. Loved ones include a son, Roger Clark and his wife, Donita; daughter, Karen Clark Rummel and husband, Ron; longtime friend, Pat Hughes; grandchildren, Noah and Dustin Hudgeons, Josh Clark and Kellye Clark Turner; and five great-granddaughters. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Downtown Bible Class c/o First Baptist Church, Lubbock, Texas or Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 53591, Lubbock, TX 79453. Bob shared a strong faith in God; love for family, friends, and country; and serving others.
