Royce Bussey LITTLEFIELD-Royce Bussey, 65, of Littlefield passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, in Lubbock. He was born May 5, 1948, in Dimmitt, Texas, to Roy and Faye Bussey. Royce graduated from Littlefield High School with the class of 1966. After graduation, he enlisted and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army
during Vietnam. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Texas and married the love of his life, Gayle Kesey, Sept. 19, 1969, in Levelland. Royce made a life for his family doing what he loved, which was farming. However, even though his passion was farming, his greatest joy was his grandchildren; they came first in Royce's life. He was an active member of the Littlefield Masonic Lodge, enjoyed playing golf, was a pool shark, and liked to watch baseball on TV. Royce was a private man who loved his God, his family and his friends. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gayle Bussey of Littlefield; a son, Brad Bussey and wife Cynthia of Littlefield; a daughter, Cisti Pinkert and husband Paul of Levelland; grandchildren, Lexi Pinkert of Canyon, Texas, Matthew Pinkert of Levelland, Kealee Faye Bussey of Littlefield, and Clay Lawrence and Ashlee Lawrence, both of Lubbock; his father, Roy Bussey of Littlefield; a sister, Stella Goyne and husband Coy of Plainview. He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Bussey on Nov. 9, 1994. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, in Grace Chapel at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Interment with military and Masonic honors will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Al Mann, Gary Squires, Joe Caddell, Raymond Sewell, Dan Sewell, and JW Bitner. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
