Shantra Taylor

Shantra LaNet Taylor LUBBOCK-Shantra LaNet Taylor, 37, of Lubbock passed away on Nov. 24, 2012. Shantra was born on Aug. 27, 1975, to the parentage of Lee Andrew Dial and Rhonda James. Shantra accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of First Progressive Baptist Church. She attended Lubbock public schools and graduated from Lubbock High in 1993. Shantra united in holy matrimony with Cameron Taylor in 2010. Shantra was preceded in death by her mother, and her grandparents, Lee Andrew Dial Sr., and Ethel Dial and Claude James. Shantra leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Cameron Taylor; three sons, Chrishaundrick Colomb, Jaikais Jackson and Amarion Robinson; three special children she raised, Jhavante Toliver, Zakeya James and Lawrence Rosemond; four stepchildren, Chassidy Sanders, Makayla Burlington, Destiny Taylor and Kameron Taylor; her grandmother, Mary Lou James; twin brother, Andre James; sister, LaTrecia Dial; two special sisters, Kristy and Krystal James; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at First Progressive Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
