Willie B. Dial

Willie B. Dial LUBBOCK-Willie B. Dial, 89, passed away on Nov. 21, 2012. Willie was born on March 22, 1923, to the late Robert and Mary Green in Wharton, Texas. Willie attended Wharton public schools, completed her education and relocated to Lubbock in search of her loving sister. She met and married William Bill Dial on Aug. 25, 1952, and of this union, three daughters were born. Willie B. was known as MaDea to her daughters and family. She worked at the First Presbyterian Church of Lubbock for many years. She spent much of her time volunteering in LISD with her daughters and extended family members. Willie B. accepted Christ at an early age and joined Greater St. Luke Baptist Church of Lubbock under the pastorship of the Rev. A.L. Davis Sr., and finally the Rev. J.H. Ford, until the time of her death. MaDea leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Edwina Bell, Ruby Lorainne Dial and Willia Ann (Wendell); five grandchildren, Triston Bell, Ra Shea Bell, Marques Jones, and Alexis and Janea Woodard; one brother, L.C. Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Greater St. Luke Baptist at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be today from 1 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
