Donald Airhart

1937 - 2017

Lubbock- Donald Ray Airhart passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 9, 2017. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 80 years on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 4 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel. A tribute of Donald's life may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family.

Sunday, August 20, 2017, a visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Dal Paso Museum located on the square in Lamesa, Texas.

Donald was born January 27, 1937, to James Edward (J.E.) and Margie Pearl Burchell Airhart in Lamesa, Texas. He graduated from Klondike High School in 1955 and took great pleasure serving on the Klondike School Board. Donald dedicated his life's work to the cattle industry. He loved working with the youth in agriculture, especially at stock shows.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Airhart; children, Shara Gay Airhart Konechney and husband, Monty; Randy Ray Airhart; and Angela Ann Airhart Elam and husband, Shelby; grandchildren, Colton Airhart and wife, Michelle; Carter Airhart; great-grandchildren, Austin and Corbin.

Donald is also survived by his wife's, children, Jason Crosier and wife, Pamela; Joshua King and wife, Mari; siblings, Quinton Airhart and wife, Sharon; Gaylon Airhart and wife, Donna; Judy Everts; and Glenda Shortes and husband, Don.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.E. and Pearl Airhart; and brother, Jimmy Airhart.
