Alejandro (Alex) N. Ramirez LUBBOCK- Services for Alejandro (Alex) N. Ramirez, 81, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday August 16, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Martin Pi a officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. on Wednesday August 15, 2012 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Mr. Ramirez died on August 12, 2012 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born February 9, 1931 in San Marcos, Texas. Alejandro married Julia Armenta on September 28, 1963 in Lubbock, Texas. Mr. Ramirez was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors very much. He worked most of his life for Furr's Cafeteria and Warehouse and retired from Assembly of God Church. Alejandro was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Julia Ramirez; two daughters, Rosemary (Miguel) Hernandez Jr. and Teresa (David) Maisonet; five grandchildren; three sisters, Virginia Ramirez of Lubbock, Clara Ramirez and Mary Helen Ramirez both of Austin, Texas; and four brothers, Richard Ramirez, Ramiro Ramirez and Johnny Ramirez all of Lubbock and Delpino Ramirez of Austin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ramirez was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Sr. and Trinidad Ramirez; two brothers, Manuel Ramirez and Pedro Ramirez, Jr.
