Aline I. McClesky GRAPEVINE- Aline I. McClesky, 88, a former Slaton resident passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Founder's Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Grapevine. Interment will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chillicothe Cemetery in Chillicothe. The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at J.E. Foust Funeral Home. Aline was born January 31, 1924 in Tolbert and graduated from Chillicothe High School. She worked in the aviation industry during World War II. After this she was an aide working with at-risk students in the Slaton Independent School District. Aline was a member of the Athenians, Kappa Iota and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Slaton. Aline was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. McClesky, in 2006. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and her twin sister. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Betty Knight and husband Edwin of Slaton, and Phyllis Howard and husband Pat of Tulsa, Okla.; son, Bill McClesky and wife Joan of Grapevine; sister, Gladys Golden and husband James of Arlington; sister-in-law, Netta Graf of Lewisville; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
