Alyne Francis Clanton POST-Alyne Francis Clanton went to join her Heavenly Father on June 17, 2013, in Post, Texas, after a brief illness at the age of 91. She was born June 26, 1921, in Arlington, Texas, to Charlie Crockett and Amanda Jeanette Francis. Alyne attended Post schools and graduated from Post High School. Alyne married Granville Hall Clayton on June 27, 1955, in Lovington, N.M. Together they had a daughter, Lisa Jane Clanton Curb of Post, Texas, and a son, Charles Hall Clanton of Amarillo, Texas. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Eleanor Alyne Cotten of Post, Amanda Jane Bauer of Post, Crystal Hardt Connell of Amarillo, Michael Bauer of Post, and Chris Hardt of Amarillo; four great-grandchildren, Austin Williams of Lubbock, Chance Bevers of Post, Kaile Connell of Amarillo, and Charles Cotten of Post. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, G.H. Clanton in 2005; three brothers, Burney Francis, Thurman Francis, and Travis Francis. She worked as a waitress and was a member of the ladies VFW auxiliary. Services will be June 19, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Maddox officiating. Burial will be in Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Michael Bauer, Rick Fontenot, Rodney George, Joe Bulman, Chris Hardt, and Neal Francis.
