Anna Lois Richerson LUBBOCK-Anna Lois Richerson passed away peacefully at home Nov. 11, 2012, surrounded by her loving family after a long struggle with dementia. Anna was born July 8, 1920, in Dodge City, Texas. She attended Idalou High School and went on to Texas Tech for several years, majoring in home economics. She married Robert Delton Richerson, from Abernathy, in 1943. Anna devoted her life to God and her family. A military wife, she served as a Gray Lady at a base hospital in Morocco, Africa. Retired with her husband, they moved to Lubbock in 1970. After 32 years in the military, she then devoted herself to taking care of her elder mother and mother-in-law, and later her grandchildren and family. Always active in her church, she was a devoutly religious, caring woman who has now joined her husband in heaven. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Lt Col Robert Delton Richerson, USAF retired; parents, Prudie and Draper Evans; sister, Evelyn London; and brother, R.A. Evans. She is survived by her children, RC Richerson and wife Nancy, RJ Richerson and wife Jeannie, and Kathy Pack and husband Nolan; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be today, Nov. 14, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Thursday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. in Resthaven Memorial Park.
