Betty Pauline Harlan SEAGRAVES-Betty Pauline Harlan, age 94, of Seagraves passed away on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, in Denver City. Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Graveside service will be Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves with Pastor Jim Chase officiating. A memorial service will follow at the First Assembly of God of Seagraves at 11 a.m. Personal services have been entrusted to Mark A Jones Funeral Directors of Seagraves. Pauline was born on Jan. 4, 1920, in Munday, Texas, to Thomas and Celeste Fultz. On Sept. 7, 1936, she married the love of her life, Leo Pete Harlan; together they moved to Seagraves in 1974. He preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1995. Pauline liked to read, sew, and sing. She started traveling a little after the passing of Pete. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memories include one son, Billy Harlan and his wife Chris of Seagraves. Betty was also blessed with five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Travis Leo Harlan; one daughter and one son-in-law, Betty Jeanette and DJ Holland; five brothers; and four sisters. In lieu of flowers family requests memorials be sent to Home Hospice LLC 801 N Main St. Andrews, TX 79714.

Mrs. Harlan sat at the table with my mom at Shinnery Oaks. She always brightened my day with her sparkling blue eyes (the same shade as my dad's) and her quick smile. I've only known her since July of this year, but I will miss her, and I will remember her always. God bless!
