Lubbock - Idalou - Billie Jean White, age 85, of Idalou, passed away on August 8, 2018 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Church of Christ in Idalou. Interment follows at the Idalou Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Idalou with visitation being held Friday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.Billie was born on November 6, 1932 in O'Donnell, Texas to Rex Marshall Sr. and Mary Magdaline (Terry) Marshall. She attended school in Friona and graduated in 1950. Billie married John Edwin White on August 5, 1950 in Clovis, New Mexico. The couple enjoyed 68 years of matrimony and was blessed with four children; Mike, David, Debbie, and Kathy.BilIie was a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed her bowling, gardening and canning. But her main focus was her family, loving her husband and taking care of her children and later her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Idalou Church of Christ. Billie White is survived by her husband, John White, of Idalou; her sons; Mike White and wife Tammie of Lubbock and David White of Austin; her daughters; Debbie Stephens of Lubbock and Kathy Nelson and husband Randy, of Idalou; brothers, Tommy Marshall and Terry Marshall; sisters; Sammye Lebow and Peggy Brewer; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Rex Marshall Jr., and a sister Nelda Brown.
