Catarino S. Mojica (1926 - 2018)

  • "I know you don't remember me ;my father was your mother's..."

Lubbock- Catarino Mojica, 92 of Lubbock passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018. He was born February 27, 1926 to Julian and Andrea (Santoya) Mojica in Lockhart, Texas. Catarino married Patsy Mojica who preceded him in death in 1962. He worked as a dishwasher before retiring. Catarino was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Louisa Flores, Margaret Mojica, Magdalina Quintero, Diana Knauer, Naomi Lopez, Brenda Mojica, Kathy Mojica, Ida Mojica; sons, Luis Mojica, Ricky Mojica; brothers, Tony Mojica, Pete Mojica, Amelio Mojica, Julian Mojica; sisters, Theresa Mojica, Mari Mojica, Josie Pena; 36 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy; parents, Julian and Andrea; daughters, Mary Gonzalez, Tammy Mojica; son, Catarino Mojica, Jr.; one brother and one sister.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018 with a rosary to be cited at 6:30 p.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
