Curtis T. Halfmann LUBBOCK-Monsignor Curtis T. Halfmann, 78, a retired priest for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lubbock, died Dec. 2, 2012, as he returned home from a hunting trip. Funeral Mass will be celebrated today, Dec. 5, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church. Another Mass and burial will be celebrated at St. Boniface Church in Olfen, Texas, on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Olfen, Texas. Preceding him in death were his parents, Paul and Elizabeth Halfmann; three brothers, Le Roy, Eugene and Msgr. Hubert Halfmann; brother-in-law, Louis Beuerlein; and nephew, Don Ray Kvapil. Survivors include four sisters, Lucille Beuerlein of Snyder, Helen Lange and husband Andrew of Rowena, Texas, Norma Halfmann of San Antonio, Texas, and LeaAnna Niggemyer and husband David of Bellville, Texas; sister-in-law, Lucy Halfmann of Burlington, Texas; a special friend, Adelaida Montemayor of Lubbock, Texas; 14 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; along with numerous cousins.
