Curtis Lynn Harvick TAHOKA-Curtis Lynn Harvick of Tahoka passed away on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at the age of 68. He was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Hamlin, Texas, to Roy and Opal Harvick. Curtis was a U.S. Marine veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a tank instructor and trained Israelis in heavy armor equipment. He worked in agricultural sales. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He married Janet Norwood, March 6, 1970, in Tahoka. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janet Harvick; son, Cody Harvick of Tahoka, Texas; and many children he loved as his own. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry Harvick. Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at the First Baptist Church with Brother Danny Jackson officiating with internment in the Nevels Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, from 1 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Lynn County EMS, 2600 Lockwood, Tahoka, TX 79373, or the Lynn County Animal Shelter, 1420 Avenue H, Tahoka, TX 79373. Pallbearers are Justin Whitley, Kent Harvick, Carlton Harvick, Kevin Harvick, Micah Stone and Mitch Hammonds. Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Garvin, Perry Flippin, Jim Robinson and Tommy Botkin.
