Delma Jean Clayton SPRINGLAKE-Church service for Delma Jean Clayton, 81, of Olton and formerly of Springlake, is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Springlake, with Pastor Glenn Harlen of Springlake officiating. Burial will be in Springlake Cemetery under the direction of Parson-Ellis Funeral Home, Earth. Mrs. Clayton died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, in Olton. She was born July 31, 1931, in Ranger, Texas, to Connell Wayne and Elmora (Brewer) Dennis. She married Billy Wayne Clayton in Temple, Texas, on March 10, 1950. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Connell Wayne and Elnora Dennis, and a brother, Connell Ray Dennis. Mrs. Clayton had lived in the Springlake community since 1950, having moved from Temple, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Springlake. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Herrell and husband J.R.; one son, Tommy Clayton and wife Donna, all of Springlake; five grandchildren, Lisa Bowen and husband Bert of Gena, La., Lance Smith and wife Kristina of Littlefield, Keeley Johnson and husband Tony of Lubbock, Michael Clayton and wife Allison of Lubbock, and Jamie Clayton of Littlefield; 13 great-grandchildren, Kidran, Kaleb, Kharis, Taylor, Autum, David, Kayla, Audrey, Hannah, Nathan, Abigail, Trustin and Brennan; and one great-great grandchild, Lucy.
