Don Adams LUBBOCK- Donald Ray Adams passed away Thursday July 19, 2012 in Lubbock. He was born January 1, 1937 in Lubbock to Perry and Doris Adams. He graduated Lubbock High School in 1955 and attended Texas Tech. He served in the Air Force in 1955 to 1961. He married Sue Williams in 1957 and they had two children, Angela and Tim. Don and his parents owned Perry's Flowers and Green Thumb Florist in Lubbock. He retired from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 1999. He was active in many senior organizations in the Metroplex. Don was a lifetime member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He loved putting a smile on the faces of his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Gerald Adams. Survivors include one daughter, Angela Sanders; one son, Tim Adams of Lubbock; one grandson, Michael Sanders; and one great-grandson, Kaden Sanders of Lubbock. There will be a private memorial service at the graveside of the City of Lubbock Cemetery at a later date under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday July 23, 2012 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
