Dorothy Faye Ellis FRIONA- Dorothy Faye Ellis, 91, of Friona, Texas passed on Tuesday, July 25, 2012 in Friona, Texas. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Friona United Methodist Church in Friona, Texas with Reverend Kurt Borden officiating. Interment will follow in Friona Cemetery under the direction of Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona, Texas. Family Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home. Dorothy Faye Fite was born on June 28, 1921 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Marion Francis and Birdie (Busby) Fite. After graduation, she attended Texas Tech University. Dorothy was married to the love of her life, Eugene Ellis, for 72 wonderful years. While living in Lubbock, Texas, she worked as a bookkeeper at Citizen's National Bank and Whiteside Laundry, after moving to Friona, Texas she worked at Hub Gin. Dorothy was a devoted mother, serving as a den mother for her sons Boy Scout Pack, and was an accomplished artist. She was a member of Friona United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a Vacation Bible School assistant. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Ellis of Friona, Texas; three sons, Michael Gene Ellis and wife, Martha of Bowie, Texas, Lonnie Dale Ellis and wife, Terri, of Friona, Texas, and Randy Bruce Ellis and wife, Leann, of Azle, Texas; one brother, Marion Fite, Jr. of Lubbock, Texas; one sister, Alta Hutto of Clovis, N.M.; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and special caregiver, Nora Gonzales of Friona, Texas.
