Douge Medlock LUBBOCK- Douge Medlock, 64, passed away December 1, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 19, 1948 in Portales, New Mexico to Jim and Emma Lee Medlock. While attending Texas Tech he became involved in Truck Driving which he turned into a 42 year career. He was known as Cowboy to most. Douge married Beverly Pittman February 14, 1987. He was an avid supporter of his sons activities including, Little League, basketball, football, soccer, Karate and Jiu-jitsu. His life was his family and his work. Douge was a member of Cooper Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Beverly; sons, Shane Medlock (Tanya), Kirk Pittman (Melanie), Klay Pittman (Deborah) and Adam Medlock all of Lubbock; sisters, Gayle Reese, Nyla Medlock and Janet Butler (Jeff) all of Lubbock; mother-in-law, Betty Strauser of Midland; sister-in-law, Sharon Mayberry (Ron) of Colorado City; six nieces, six nephews and several great-nieces and nephews; as well as two special Rottweilers, Sassy and Dazzle. Visitation will be tonight, December 3, in Resthaven Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Charles Carmen officiating.
