Edward Lloyd Jordan LUBBOCK- Edward Lloyd Jordan, our beloved husband, Daddy, Poppy, brother, uncle, and friend passed from this life into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 surrounded by his family. Celebration of life services will be Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Lorenzo Baptist Church with Rev. Kris Knippa and Rev. Dennis Williams officiating. Burial will follow church services at the Lorenzo Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo, Texas. Edward farmed most of his life serving on the Board of Directors at Lorenzo Coop Gin and Lorenzo Grain Coop. Family and farming were his life. He will be greatly and forever missed. Edward was born on Dec. 29, 1934 to Tilman and Opal Jordan in Tyler, Texas. He met his best friend, sweetheart, and soul mate; his little lady, Virginia (Ginger) McGee and were married Jan. 1, 1955 at Acuff Baptist Church. They shared 58 years of marriage and created a lifetime of wonderful memories. Edward and Ginger were blessed with three children, Ricky and wife Sheila Jordan of Lubbock, Texas, Connie and husband Ray Fikes of Arizona, and Donna and husband Dennis Westbrook of Arizona; eight grandchildren, Misty, Christy, Glen, Cameron, Jarrod and wife Brittany, Zackary, Nicholas and wife Liz, and Jaisen and wife Danielle; nine great-grandchildren, Lauren, Logan, Nevaeh, Cayden, Brinley, Makenzie, Landen, Riley, and Jaxson; brothers and sisters, Sam and Marie Jordan of San Angelo, Texas, Donald Jordan, predeceased, Tommy and Roberta McGee of Lorenzo, Texas, and Fred and Doris McGee, predeceased; nieces Judy, Celeste, Candace, Mary, Susie, Cindy, and Sammie; and nephew Darron. He fought the good fight and finished the race. The Jordan family would like to say a special thank you to Interim Hospice Care and express their gratitude and sincere appreciation to the entire staff at The Garrison House who have become part of our loving family and angels to so many.
