Ethel Marcine Gilbert LUBBOCK-Ethel Marcine Gilbert, 90, of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012. She was born Sept. 5, 1922, in Yantis, Wood County, Texas, to Frank and Pinky Mae Noland Frazier. She married James Harvey Gilbert on May 9, 1942. He preceded her in death in 2003. She worked as nurse in hospitals in Sulphur Springs and McKinney before moving to Lubbock in 1986. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, James Gilbert and wife Susie of Spring; two grandsons, Matthew Gilbert and wife Karen of Baytown, and Justin Gilbert and wife Celina of Lake Jackson; a granddaughter, Lisa Gorski and husband Scott of Long Beach, Calif.; and five great-grandchildren, Rachael, Megan, Hannah, Gretchen and Mia-Noel Gilbert. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Ford Chapel of First Baptist Church of Lubbock with the Rev. John Ballard officiating. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 3 p.m. in Yantis Cemetery in Wood County. The family will receive friends at the Sanders Funeral Home today from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
