Eunice Christine Tiroff LUBBOCK- Christine Tiroff went to be with her lord and savior October 27, 2012 following a brief illness. Chris was born July 28, 1934 in Saint Jo, Texas to the late John M. and Vera Carlton Faulkinberry. She attended and graduated high school in Vernon, Texas and moved to Lubbock in 1951. Chris was a loving mother and grandmother who delighted in visiting with her family. She was a long time employee of Furr's cafeteria, retiring after nearly 30 years service. She took great pride in her appearance and one of the highlights of her life was participating in a feature article in Texas Monthly on Big Hair, bringing her notoriety on the South Plains and much of Texas. Chris very much enjoyed attending Sunday school and worship services at Southcrest Baptist Church where she was a member. Survivors include a son, Dale M. Tiroff; daughter-in-law, Tammy M. Tiroff; grandson, Lukas M. Tiroff all of Evans, Ga.; and a brother, Conley Faulkinberry of Lubbock. Family will receive friends at Sanders Funeral Home Monday, October 29, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services and interment will be at the City of Lubbock Cemetery, Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. The Reverend Jerry Wilson of Southcrest Baptist Church will be officiating.
