Fawn Olean Watkins LUBBOCK- Fawn Olean Watkins, 85, slipped peacefully into the arms of her beloved Jesus on Thursday December 6, 2012. Services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in Sanders Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ray Brannan officiating, assisted by Rev. Roger Garrett. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 8th, 2012 at Sanders Funeral Home. Olean was born April 13th, 1927 in Idabell, Oklahoma to Robert and Vivian Garrett. She married the love of her life, Raymond Watkins, on May 23, 1946. Together they raised three children who loved her very much and were the joy of her life. She was a beloved Mother and Grandmother and blessed many lives with her beautiful quilts and her love. Olean is survived by her husband, of 66 years, Raymond, and her three children, Glen and wife Barbara Watkins of Kilgore, Texas, Marlin and wife Gail Watkins of Tatum, Texas, and Sheila and husband Sammy Melton of Lubbock. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; ten step great-grandchildren; and six step great-great grandchildren. She is survived by three sisters, Ruth Ford, Joyce Beevers and Juanita Owens all of Lubbock; one brother, William Garrett of Amarillo; and adopted sister, Susie Watkins of Lubbock, Texas, as well. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Edward Garrett of Texarkana, Texas, Vernon Garrett, Lester Garrett and Joe Garrett of Lubbock, Texas.
