Faye Veretto LEVELLAND-Memorial graveside services for Faye Sooter Veretto, 91, of Levelland will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, in City of Levelland Cemetery. Cremation services are under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. She died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, in Levelland. Aunt Faye was born in Lubbock County on May 4, 1921. She attended schools in the Pep area and married the love of her life, Elmer Mike Veretto, on Oct. 26, 1940. Elmer and Faye had many wonderful years together, helping raise a multitude of nieces and nephews. Throughout the generations, Aunt Faye was there to lend support, a helping hand, encouragement and love. She loved to cook and tried her best to pass her secrets on to family and friends. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and was a staple at St. Mary's Altar Society for decades. Although she will be missed, her memories will live forever in the hearts of those she touched. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Elmer; her parents; her sisters, Goldie Sooter and Estelle McDaniel; her brothers, Herbert and Glen Sooter; and multiple brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Palmer and Mildred Veretto of Levelland, and Katy Madry and Edith Sooter of Lubbock, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
