Gloria Deen Moore Robinett LAMESA-Gloria Deen Moore was born on June 7, 1929, in Roby, Texas, to Archie and Iva Moore. Deenie died on Nov. 10, 2012, at the age of 83. She was known by her mother as Gloria Deen; she was known by others as Deenie; and she was known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Memaw. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Darlene Russell. She is survived by her husband, Paul Robinett of Brownfield, Texas; her children, Gayla Bridges of Mendenhall, Miss., Sharla Cooper of Tarzan, Texas, and Alan Robinett of Lubbock, Texas; her sister, Sylvia Calvit of Tyler, Texas; her brother, Weldon Moore of Lubbock, Texas, six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Paul and Deenie were married on her birthday in 1947. Upon moving to Brownfield in 1985, she began a 20-year long career with Home Interiors. She left a legacy of vibrancy, laughter, love, service, grit and fun. She instilled these characteristics and her overall love for life in her children and grandchildren. Though she will be sorely missed, her legacy lives on. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Crestview Baptist Church of Lamesa with Pastor Jack Purtell officiating.
