Helen Louise Hall VERNON-Helen Louise (Brown) Hall, 83, of Vernon, Texas, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, in Lubbock, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Sullivan Funeral Home. A Memorial Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Lockett Highway Church of Christ, where she served alongside her husband of 62 years, Paul Doug Hall. Together they served the Lockett Highway congregation for 17 years before he passed away in 2013. Helen was born April 2, 1933, to Della Viola (Chisholm) and Floyd Joseph Brown, in Littlefield, Texas. She met Paul Douglas Hall when she was just a teenager, and the two married on Dec. 25, 1950, in Vernon. In 1965, the couple left Texas to attend the Bear Valley School of Preaching in Denver, CO, and spent many years serving congregations in Colorado, South Dakota, Wyoming, California, and other parts of Texas before returning to Vernon, in 1995. Doug and Helen lived a life of service to God and man. No one, not even strangers were ever turned away. Together they touched countless lives and left a giant footprint everywhere they lived and worshipped. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed by family and friends. Helen is survived by daughter, Paula Allen and husband, Randy; son, Michael Hall and wife, Lynn; son, Timothy Hall and wife, Brenda; daughter, Keli Stewart and husband, Murray; eight grandchildren, Kayla Wimberley and husband, Isaac, Deone Lafollette, Jason Hall and wife, Nicol, Cody Hall, Joe Stewart and wife, Rachelle, Valari Skinness and husband, Ben, Josh Stewart, Brittany Holder and husband, Benji; and 13 great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Asher, Katy, Kenzy, Damon, Nathaniel, Joslyn, Tristan, Gunner, Ridge, Jude, Canton, and Gabriel. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Douglas Hall; one son, Andrew E. Hall; one son-in-law, Don C. Maxey; and two brothers, Joel Brown and Hugh Brown.
