Isabel Saldana LUBBOCK-Isabel Saldana, 62, of Slaton passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at University Medical Center. Services for Mrs. Saldana will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Slaton. Burial will follow in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. There will be a rosary held tonight at 7 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home. Isabel was born Feb. 22, 1950, in Beeville, Texas, to Manuel and Felipe Garcia. She married Robert Saldana 34 years ago in Slaton, Texas. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and her grandkids. She is survived by her husband, Robert Saldana of Slaton; five sons, Frank Rivera, Robert De La Cruz, J.J. De La Cruz, all of Lubbock, Roy Garcia of Lake Jackson and Jeremiah Vidarre of Slaton; five daughters, Hart Gonzales of Lubbock, Carol De La Cruz of Slaton, Estella Nerios of Lubbock, Lydia Garcia of Lake Jackson and Andromeda Vidarre of Slaton; two brothers, Antonio Garcia of Lake Jackson and Severo Garcia of Slaton; three sisters, Rosa Garcia and Noverta Garcia, both of Lubbock, and Dolores Camacho of Slaton; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tony Garcia; four brothers, Chon Garcia, Stephen Garcia, Manuel Garcia and Martin Garcia; and one sister, Esther Garcia.
