James Harry Meyn CARLSBAD, NM- Former resident James Harry Meyn, 47, of Carlsbad, N.M. passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Carlsbad Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 2507 Westernway in Carlsbad. Cremation has taken place under the direction of West Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www.westfuneralhomellc.com. James Harry Charles Meyn was born on June 23, 1966 in Huntington, N.Y. to Robert and Catherine (McDonnell) Meyn. His family moved to Lovington, N.M. in May 1975 where Harry attended School. He later moved to Lubbock, Texas with his brother Richard and attended school there as well. He took care of his brother Richard while they lived in Lubbock until Richard's passing in September 1998. He moved to Carlsbad, NM to be with his family and worked in the oilfields for many years. He was a handyman to all especially his family. Harry was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Bob. He is survived by his daughter, MaryAnn Meyn; two granddaughters, Hayden and Aubrey Meyn of Seymour, Mo.; son, Kane Meyn of Luther, Okla.; and he was PePaw to one special grandson, Syion Martinez of Carlsbad, N.M. Also surviving him are three sisters, Mary Kennemer and Eileen Meyn of Carlsbad, N.M., and Kathleen and husband Lonnie Voyles of Lovington, N.M.; brother, Michael Meyn of Portland, Maine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
