Jeff Duran LUBBOCK-Jeff Duran, age 8 7, of Spring, Texas, passed away on Oct. 26, 2013. He was born Nov. 16, 1925, in Ralls, Texas. In 1948, Mr. Duran married Myrtle Millis in Lubbock, Texas, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. He was from a large family here in Lubbock, served in the Navy at the end of WWII on the USS San Saba (APA 232), and worked in Lubbock as a machinist. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an active member of the Catholic community throughout his life. Jeff was well-known for his friendly smile and kind disposition. He is survived by: wife, Myrtle Duran of Spring, Texas; sons, Mike Duran of Lamesa, Texas, Greg Duran of Lubbock, Texas, Gabe Duran of Chicago, Ill.; and daughter, Joan Kelley of Spring, Texas. Mr. Duran is also survived by his brothers, James, Frank and Jim Duran; sisters, Doris London, and Dee Russell; along with six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Duran; brothers, Joe, Mack, Sam, and Sid Duran; and sisters, Vena Anderson, Marie White, and Sister Rose Marie Duran. His loving demeanor will not be forgotten.
