Jerry Hays POST-Services for Jerry Hays, 74, of Post will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Calvary Baptist Church with Ted Tatum and Jay Stinson officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hudman Funeral Home. Jerry died May 7, 2013, in Lubbock. He was born on Feb. 22, 1939, in Post to James and Mattie (Lee) Hays. He graduated from Post High School in 1957. He was a US Army veteran serving in Korea. He worked for the Texas Highway Department in the engineering department for over 30 years. He also served as the Garza county clerk. Jerry married Kay Gordon on Sept. 18, 1965, in Snyder. Survivors include his wife, Kay Hays of Post, one son, Rodney and wife Alison Hays of Georgetown; two daughters, Karron Hays of Post and Kelsey Hays of Post; four brothers, Herb Hays of Austin, Donnie Hays of Austin, Pete Hays of Post and Jackie Hays of Post; and one sister: Reba Probst of Post.
