Jim married Terry Osborn January 4, 1983. He retired from the Lubbock Avalanche Journal after 25 years of work as a machinist, but devoted his life to being a loyal family man and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mandy, brothers, Billy, Russell, and Junior Osborn; sisters, Barbara Thomas and Kennie Youngblood. Jim was loved for his sense of humor, as he would say, "You can't fix stupid," and "Duct tape doesn't fix everything."
