Joe Pendarvis LUBBOCK-Joe Pendarvis of Lubbock passed away April 28, 2012, at the age of 69. Joe was born April 15, 1943, in Charleston, S.C., to Jack and Lila Pendarvis. At the age of 17, Joe enlisted into the U.S. Army and served his country. After his military service, he was self-employed in a variety of trades. Although he retired from self-employment, he spent a lifetime wheelin' and dealin' with cars. During his tenure as a car enthusiast, he met another love of his life, his awesome wife, Terri Pendarvis, and on Jan. 29, 1979, they were married. Joe was a proud member of the Caprock Classic Car Family. Joe is survived by his wife, Terri Pendarvis of Lubbock; a daughter, Sabrina Chris Raines and husband John Raines of Elgin, S.C.; two sons, Lonnie and Dillion Pendarvis; grandchildren, Jordan Raines, Erica Pendarvis and Desiree Pendarvis; sisters, Deborah Chapman and Donna Crespo; in addition to many beloved friends and family. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lila Pendarvis, as well as his brother, Bill Pendarvis. A visitation will be held Monday, April 30, 2012, between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Christian Life, officiated by John Murdock, with interment following in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
