Johnny Lee Fininen Sr. LUBBOCK-Johnny Lee Fininen Sr., 62, of Brownfield, Texas, passed away on Oct. 6, 2012. Born to the late James Fininen and Retha Carston on Jan. 26, 1950, Johnny earned his G.E.D. in San Marcos, Texas, and married Kathy Reed on Dec. 3, 1986. Johnny worked in the oil fields and as a truck driver for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his father; four brothers; and three sisters. He leaves to cherish his memories five sons, Jonathan Fininen, Jasper Fininen, Joshua Fininen, Johnny Fininen Jr. and Jordan Smith; three daughters, Pricilla Reed, Carolyn Young and Beatrice Simmons; his mother, Retha Williams; seven brothers, Harvey Williams, Donnie Williams, Jerry Williams, Ralph Williams, Jessie Fininen, Sylvester Fininen and James Douglas Fininen; six sisters, Sharial Dawson, Terry Brooks, Ella Williams, Kathy Fininen, Amanda Williams and Janet Harrell; a special niece, Evelyn Reed; 14 grandchildren; and host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, Brownfield, Texas. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be today from 1 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
