Juan V. Buentello LUBBOCK- Juan V. Buentello was born on Sept. 24, 1913 in Hopson, Texas to Tibursio and Jesusa Buentello. He went to be with the Lord on Dec. 22, 2012. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Aseneth Buentello; daughter, Yolanda Segura and husband Raymond; daughter, Nora Banda; son, Jose Luis Encina; daughter, Aseneth (Sally) Martinez and husband Ginaro; and son, John M. Buentello; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He served in the Navy during World War II in the Pilipenes. He pastored at a church in Abernathy and Monte Carmelo Pentecostal Church in Lubbock. He worked at Lubbock Building Products until he retired at the age of 80. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to meet him. A prayer service will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Funeral services will be at Ministerios Nueva Vida, 201 N Boston, at 10 a.m. Friday, with Ginaro Martinez, Jr. officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
