Juan Maldonado SLATON- Juan Maldonado died at Littlefield Nursing and Rehabilitation on Saturday, November 3, 2012. He was surrounded by his family. Rosary will be 6:30 p.m. today, November 6, 2012 in Englunds Chapel. Celebration of life mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Slaton's Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Mr. Maldonado was born on December 15, 1951, in Slaton, Texas, to Francisco and Maria Maldonado. He attended Slaton Schools. Juan worked for Edward Brother Masonry. He retired in 1997 for health considerations. His survivors include his two daughters, Tina Marie Aguirre of Slaton and Julie Rodriguez of Lubbock; six grandchildren; five sisters, Janie Rodriguez of Ft. Worth, Gloria Rivera and Tina Castillo both of Texas City, Oralia Cervantes of Longmont, Colo. and Snow Castaneda of Lubbock; four brothers, Andy Maldonado of Littlefield, Phillip Maldonado of Slaton, Augustine Maldonado and Steve Maldonado both of Texas City.
